About Me
Choosing Incredible Recreational Activities

After we started having children, my husband and I realized that we really needed to do something to improve our free time. We started focusing on going through and finding fun activities that we could do together, and it was incredible to see how much our relationship blossomed. Within a few short months, we found ourselves kayaking down rivers, bungee jumping off of bridges, and playing a ton of great sports. I was really impressed with how much of a difference the new activities we were enjoying were making, and before we knew it we were outdoor enthusiasts. Reasons To Choose An Electric Golf Cart Over A Gas-Powered One

If you've just moved into a golfing community with the plan of buying a membership at the local course and playing several times a week, it may be advantageous to think about buying your own golf cart. Renting a golf cart each time you play a round can add up, whereas buying a golf cart can end up saving you money in the long run. When you begin to think about buying a golf cart, one of the main decisions that you'll have to make is whether you want an electric cart or one that is powered by gas. There are several reasons to lean toward the former type of vehicle.

Electric Is Quieter

One of the biggest advantages of an electric golf cart is its lack of noise. Just as electric cars are known for being quieter than their gas-powered counterparts, electric golf carts are extremely quiet. When the cart is sitting stationary, it produces no noise. When you're driving it, the only noise that the cart produces is a low hum. A gas-powered golf cart, meanwhile, makes noise when it's idling and makes more noise when you're driving it. In a sport in which being quiet is generally something that people around you appreciate, you may appreciate the quietness of an electric cart.

Many Courses Have Charging Stations

You can charge up your electric golf cart at home between rounds, but if you forget to do so, you won't be left stranded partway through your game. Instead, you can park your cart at the golf course and hook it up to one of the available charging stations. Depending on the speed that it takes for your golf cart to charge up, you could do this before a round when you're hitting balls at the range or even partway through the round when you've stopped to eat lunch.

It's More Convenient

One of the challenges of owning a gas-powered golf cart is that you constantly have to fill it up with gas. This means that you'll occasionally have to make special trips to the local gas station with a small gas can to fill. Golf courses don't commonly have gas pumps, which means that if you get to the course and realize that you haven't filled up, you'll need to make plans to do so. Conversely, none of these concerns are present when you own an electric golf cart. It's simply a matter of charging the battery when you're not using the cart.
